Control

The control for Ninja Gaiden 3 should be something Team NINJA should be concerned about and to be taken seriously. Ninja Gaiden 2's control was not 100% responsive like Ninja Gaiden 1/Black, a lot of gamers experienced unresponsive buttons and delayed actions whilst playing Ninja Gaiden 2. This problem carried on to Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and was even made WORST! Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2's control defined the game unplayable because the controls where 70% unresponsive at times, delay buttons especially when you try countering with block button.

If Ninja Gaiden 3's control is not 100% responsive like Ninja Gaiden 1/Black, then there is no reason to play the game, because I cannot keep dying because of unresponsive controls!

Ninja Gaiden 2's control fixed problems Ninja Gaiden 1/Black had use of Action button interaction mapped to R Bumper for Xbox 360. I don't know why Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 did not use unused button for the Action interaction but instead used the Circle button for throwing shurikens. This causes problems because if Ryu tries to open up a chest, he throws shurikens instead or worst yet, Ryu throws shurikens when trying to revive his partner in Co-oP Team Missions.

One thing I love about Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2's button layout was the use of using the shurikens and bow at the same time. It added more variety to combine attacks and build extra combos. I love hitting enemies in the air, shooting 2 bows at them and hitting them with the shurikens for the finishing touches. The ability to 'Run n Gun' while manually holding the bow was a nice touch, although it did make Ninja Gaiden feel very weird, it did not feel like an Hack n Slash with that functionality. Personally I don't mind if it returns or doesn't in Ninja Gaiden 3.

I annotated the console controllers of how the button layouts should be for Ninja Gaiden 3, we seriously do not want to use Action button for another mapped button. This was a downside for Ninja Gaiden 1/Black, Itagaki's Ninja Gaiden 2 fixed the problem by mapping it to Right Bumper. But I do not know why Hayashi chose to use the shuriken mapped button for Action button. It's just taking a step back:/
lucky for ps3 since it supports motion axis.
